it is hard to be a body sometimes.

there's more support available right here in our faith community.

Treat yourself to some loving awareness of the ways your body has been showing up for you.

Celebrate what we’ve survived, bolster your presence and choices in the world around you, and widen your window of tolerance for what’s next.

Below are some video introductions to embodied healing, somatic work, the connection between somatic work, the COVID-19 pandemic and trauma/oppression.

how this all started.

My teacher and coach in this work has been Dr. Vanissar Tarakali. I invite you to check out her resources, writing and other work.

After collaborating with my own body with the help of a coach, I began to feel drawn to offer somatic/embodied practices to those I was serving in classrooms and congregations. With Vanissar's mentoring and support, this began a few years ago.

In 2020, I participated in the Power of Embodied Transformation (POET) course offered through the Strozzi Institute and Coaches Rising. Through that course, I began meeting weekly for peer consultation and mutual support with a practice group of coaches who offer embodied healing/practices in their coaching offerings .
